[ top ] - Can I change my billing due date?

[ top ] - How do I sign up for automatic bank draft?
- The easiest way to sign up is to call PEC at 1-888-554-4732, and we will take the necessary information over the phone. You may also complete the information on the back of your monthly electric bill to get the process started, or visit any PEC office location.
[ top ] - What are your rates?
- Complete details about our electric rates and charges for outdoor lighting are available on our Rate Information page.
[ top ] - Why is my bill so high?
- Many factors determine the amount due on your bill, but one of the variables you control is the amount of kilowatt-hours (kwh) you use. Your kwh is measured by your meter, and one kwh is the amount of electricty it takes to light a 100-watt bulb for 10 hours. The more electrical equipment (appliances, lights, heaters, etc.) you use, the more kwh you use, and your electric bill will reflect the increase in kwh use. For details on PEC's charge per kwh, visit our Rate Information page.
[ top ] - Does PEC offer assistance for low-income members?
- PEC's Member Service Assistance Program helps members unable to pay their electric bills. Each year, the PEC Board authorizes funds for this program, which uses local agencies to screen and qualify applicants based on financial need. In addition, credit amounts less than $5 from final bills are transferred to this program, unless a refund is requested. For more information, contact an aid agency listed in your local telephone directory or review PEC's Financial Assistance brochure.
