Watch. Reduce. Save.
PEC's MyUse Energy Analyzer allows you to view your daily electric use in kilowatt-hours (kwh) and dollars so you can better monitor and manage your monthly electric consumption, budget accordingly and reduce your environmental impact. MyUse reports are currently available only for small-power commercial and residential members.
Your MyUse Energy Reports
Your MyUse reports are available in the PEC Member Portal. After you log on, click on the "MyUse Energy Analyzer" tab in the menu of options on the left side of the page.
There are three types of reports available in MyUse:
- Unbilled Use Report provides an overview based on the best available daily meter readings since your last bill.
- Billed Use Report displays daily use readings recorded during the prior completed billing period.
- Historical Use Report displays monthly totals recorded during the most recent 13 months of billed electric use.
Each report is available to download in a PDF format best suited for printing, or a comma-separated values (CSV) format that can be opened in a spreadsheet program like Microsoft Excel for more detailed analysis.
The dollar amounts presented in your MyUse reports include energy charges, taxes (if applicable) and PEC’s monthly service availability charge, which is billed to every PEC meter and account and covers the cost of providing and maintaining electric service. Dollar amounts do not include additional credits and/or charges that may apply, such as late fees, rate changes, etc.
Your monthly electric bill is determined by the number of kilowatt-hours (kwh) you have used. One kwh is defined as the amount of electricity it takes to light a 100-watt bulb for 10 hours. Your kwh use is measured automatically by your meter.

Readings are pulled shortly after midnight, so the usage is assumed to be for the day before. We attempt to get daily readings at the same time each day, but there may be days the daily readings are taken later than normal. When this happens, one day’s report may include use for more than 24 hours, and the next day’s report may be for less than 24 hours.
-
You can register on our website to get access to daily readings. After registering and/or logging on, click on “MyUse Energy Analyzer” in the left navigation bar and select either the Billed Use or Unbilled Use reports. Both of these reports provide daily reading information.

Currently, the unbilled MyUse report only shows data for a billing cycle of 32 days or less. If you recently changed billing cycles, your billing period may be longer than 32 days. In this case, if your billing period is longer than 32 days, your MyUse unbilled report will be blank until your next bill is generated.

Members who usually have 0 kwh on their unbilled MyUse report may see an extremely large kwh entry on Aug. 27, 2012. That day we updated our software to make MyUse more accurate and eliminate a cumulative error caused by estimating. MyUse worked perfectly for members who used electricity that day, but if you didn’t use any electricity and had a meter reading of 0 kwh, your meter moved backwards and registered a reading of 99,999. This technical glitch should not be reflected on your bill, but if it is, please let us know.
