Helping one another — it’s what good neighbors do. Many PEC employees are also members of the Cooperative — they are neighbors and friends to the people they serve, and they are committed to their communities.
PEC employees help support the groups that provide vital services in their communities with donations to United Charities. The nonprofit charitable corporation is funded with voluntary contributions from PEC employees, matched by a contribution approved by PEC’s Board of Directors. In 2011, more than $333,000 was allocated to 373 nonprofit organizations that serve communities throughout PEC’s service area. The employees determine where the money goes and how much each organization receives.
