To have electric service connected in your name at a metered location, please visit any PEC office or call toll-free 1-888-554-4732 between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. Monday through Friday. To expedite the application process, please have your identifying information and method of payment available. Acceptable forms of ID include a tax identification number, Social Security number or driver's license number and date of birth.
Membership is established with a one-time $50 refundable membership fee, and a $75 nonrefundable establishment fee is required for each new account. A deposit also may be required. More information about residential deposits is found in PEC's Your Rights as a Member. A letter of credit or Letter of Guaranty may be acceptable in lieu of a deposit.
Scheduled service connections are completed Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., with the exception of holidays. If you need your request completed within the next two business days or if you need electric service extended to a new service location that has never been metered, please let us know when you call or come by the office to request new service. An additional fee may be required for same day connects.
