Amy Lea SJ Akers

District 7 Director Amy Akers is a corporate transactions lawyer and business consultant. She advises public and private entities on a broad range of general corporate and commercial matters including formation, governance, operations, and M&A.

Amy also holds a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering with double minors in applied mathematics and computer science.

Prior to her legal career, Amy worked in the construction industry ensuring the seamless completion of commercial projects where she learned the value of establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with government officials, stakeholders, investors, and the general public.
