2017 Annual Report
Proudly serving you for 80 years
Since 1938, we’ve seen a powerful transformation in the Texas Hill Country. When PEC extended electric service to Central Texas 80 years ago, we laid the groundwork for a brighter future. Today, after eight decades of growth and innovation, we light up the lives of approximately 1 million Texans.
A lot has changed in 80 years, but the values that got us here haven’t. As one of the largest and fastest growing electric cooperatives in the country, we’re still guided by the principles we’ve had since the beginning: value, reliability, safety and giving back.
Thank you for letting us serve you. You make us PEC proud.
Message from the Board President

What makes you PEC Proud?
PEC employees are known for their dedication and the pride they take in serving our community. Here’s what they said when we asked, “What makes you PEC proud?”
“Because it’s my job to design service extensions, I get to see projects go from empty tracts of land to finished developments. The excitement that a member feels to flip the light switch for the first time is the best part of my job.”
Eric Villanueva
Electrical Distribution Designer, Sr.
4 years of service
“My pride in PEC is two-fold: both as a member and as a committed employee. Giving our members the care, concern and professionalism I would want as a member gives me great satisfaction each day.”
Sanjeanette McCants

“I’m proud to serve the community in which I live and raise my family. PEC’s high standards and strong morals make it a great place to work.”
