Ingmar Sterzing leads energy management strategies as well as the planning, directing and execution of the cooperative’s power supply, developing and maintaining competitive rate plans and pricing options, supplying members with beneficial energy programs and services, developing new energy projects and managing energy regulatory affairs within the Electric Reliability Council of Texas.
Sterzing has held positions at Westinghouse Electric Company, General Electric, the Lower Colorado River Authority and LS Power, where he managed fuel and power operations, developed and constructed new power plants and transmission assets, and managed a portfolio of power plants.
Sterzing holds a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering and a Master of Business Administration from The University of Texas at Austin. He also earned a Master of Science degree in nuclear engineering from North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina. He is a sixth-generation Texan who lives in Austin with his wife, Deborah, and two sons, Deven and Wyatt.
