Planned outage for service upgrade in Oak Hill
Affected Circle C members have been notified
On Tuesday, March 14, PEC will be in the Oak Hill area from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. performing maintenance on underground distribution lines. Crews will systematically update 10 fuse cabinets serving more than 700 members, and the work will require brief, intermittent power interruptions.
“This is the first phase of updates in this district,” PEC Journeyworker Michael Gonzales said. “As a cooperative, our goal with this project is to provide safer, more reliable electric service for our members.”
This project will affect members in the Circle C Ranch area, on the northeast corner of La Crosse Avenue and Escarpment Boulevard. In the following weeks, crews will be moving east of Oak Hill for more upgrades. Members whose service will be interrupted for this project are notified by letter and an automated phone call.
To access our equipment safely, crews may need to trim bushes and other vegetation growing around underground transformers. A clearance of 10 feet in front of these boxes and five feet on each side are required to protect our lineworkers. In addition, please keep in mind that crews may need to access property. If you are concerned about anyone at your location, ask for identification or contact us directly.
We are committed to providing the highest possible level of service and electric reliability to our members, and we appreciate your cooperation as we work to improve your service. In case of inclement weather, this work will be rescheduled for Wednesday, March 15.
If you have any questions about this work, please call PEC Planning at 877-372-0391 and press “7” to be connected to the Oak Hill office.
