On Tuesday, May 15, PEC Regional Operations Supervisor Charley Goines and Journeyworker Jason Foster from our Kyle district surprised our lineworker coloring contest grand prize winner, Ashlynn Gamboa, by visiting her at Santa Cruz Catholic School in their bucket truck. After telling Gamboa that she’d won and delivering her award, a $100 Visa gift card, the crew treated her class to a safety demonstration.

Kids in two age groups, 4–7 years old and 8–11 years old, entered our coloring contest for the chance to win a $50 Visa gift card or the grand prize, which included the line crew visit.

“I was glad and grateful when I heard I had won the coloring contest,” Gamboa said. “My family told me to work really hard on it, so I’m going to share my gift card with them.”
