We’re PEC Proud of our low rates
Our residential eSaver rate is lower than the Texas and national averages
At PEC, we take pride in safely delivering reliable power and great member service. But that’s not all: We go above and beyond to secure the best electric rates, so you can be sure you’re getting the best possible value.
How we crunched the numbers
- PEC: Total cost (excluding taxes but including all fees) of buying 1,000 kilowatt-hours (kWh) from PEC.
- Texas: Cost of buying 1,000 kWh based on statewide residential average price of $0.1168 per kWh.
- U.S.: Cost of buying 1,000 kWh based on national residential average price of $0.1315 per kWh.

How we keep your rates low
As a nonprofit cooperative, we’re working for our members, and our goal is delivering high quality service and great value. We purchase power from diverse, competitive sources to ensure the best possible rates, which are approved by our board of directors.
We also pursue reliability initiatives throughout the year like substation upgrades, tree-trimming, equipment maintenance and more to keep your power on and your costs low. And during the summer peak season, we partner with KVUE and use social media to help you remember to conserve energy and keep costs low.
