Renewable Energy Rider

What you need to know

Renewable Energy Rider is an optional added fee of $0.00043 per kilowatt-hour for members interested in paying for 100 percent renewable energy.

The Renewable Energy Rider is an optional added fee, or adder, that ensures the energy billed to you comes from 100 percent renewable sources, such as solar, wind, geothermal, hydroelectric, tidal, biomass or biomass-based waste products.

The Renewable Energy Rider adder costs $0.00043 per kilowatt-hour and is added to your base power cost. The adder amount is based on the prices of Texas Renewable Energy Credits.

This opt-in rate option is available to all members except those on the Industrial and Power Plant Start Power rates. Learn more on our website or by calling us at 888-554-4732, Monday through Friday, between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m.
