PEC among National Cooperative Bank’s top 100 co-ops
This year marks PEC’s third consecutive year of recognition
PEC is proud to rank among the top cooperatives in the United States for the third consecutive year according to National Cooperative Bank’s annual Co-op 100 list. Based on its 2017 revenues of about $591 million, PEC was named No. 89, seven spots higher than last year and 11 spots higher than 2016.
“We’re proud of our inclusion on this list for the third consecutive year,” said PEC CEO Julie C. Parsley. “This recognition is a sign of our continuing commitment to fiscal responsibility as we serve our members.”
The list ranks cooperative businesses by revenue in sectors as varied as health care, agriculture, finance, grocery, and more. Across industries, all cooperatives share the same business model and abide by seven cooperative principles, including democratic member participation and concern for community. Cooperative members benefit from shared profits through capital credits, and the communities they serve are enriched through local programs.
