Changes are coming on July 1 to credit and debit card payment processes

New payment processing procedures to protect your data

At PEC, we care about our members and are committed to protecting your data. That’s why we carefully adhere to the data security standards set by the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Security Standards Council. PCI publishes the global best-practices procedures for credit and debit card payments to help reduce fraud.

Effective July 1, PEC agents will no longer manually process credit or debit cards by phone or in the drive-thru. If you choose to pay with a card at a PEC office, you may do so at a credit card payment machine or drive-thru kiosk. If you prefer to pay by phone using a credit or debit card, you can use our automated SecurePay phone line at 844-886-9798. You may also pay with a card using our SmartHub mobile app or at pec.smarthub.coop.
