Our rates are some of the lowest in Texas and well below the national average. As a member, you can choose from rates and payment options that suit your needs, including our Time-of-Use Rate that offers a lower price for electricity used during non-peak times.

From our focus on reliability in the field, to member relations agents who personally answer your calls – you can count on the highest-quality service. In fact, we recently ranked among the top 10 electric cooperatives in the nation on J.D. Power’s list for member satisfaction, and we’re always looking for ways to improve.

Reinvesting in our future
As a member-owned, nonprofit cooperative, we reinvest in the cooperative’s operations and allocate margins to our members through capital credits.

Led by you
Our Board of Directors governs our cooperative and is made of members like you, who are elected by you. Your vote is your voice in the cooperative, and our elections provide a say in our direction and leadership. Members are welcome to attend our board meetings and present comments to the board. We even provide videos of past meetings so you can watch them at your convenience.

Supporting our communities together
Last year, we provided more than $32,000 in PEC Community Grants to 11 area nonprofits. These grants are made possible thanks to members like you who support our Power of Change program. As part of the program, members round up their electric bill to the nearest dollar to help support local organizations. We also award scholarships to local high school students each year and send 10 students to Washington, D.C., for the annual Youth Tour trip.
