Local nonprofit receives matching grant from CoBank
Blanco County’s Community Resource Center awarded an additional $5k
Blanco County’s Community Resource Center of Texas (CRCTX) received a $5,000 matching grant from CoBank’s Sharing Success program this October. The match was made possible thanks to an initial $5,000 grant the CRCTX received from PEC’s Community Grants program back in May. By receiving the PEC Community Grant, the center became eligible for the CoBank match.

“At PEC, we’re committed to building strong communities, and the new community resource center will bring new opportunities and much-needed services to this area,” Caroline Tinsley Porter said. “We sincerely appreciate CoBank’s giving program and their generous matching grant.”
CRCTX provides one-stop shops in rural communities for health and social services agencies. The Blanco County center is set to open in December, and the grants will provide free office space for organizations working to break the cycle of poverty in Blanco County.
