PEC supports local summer reading programs
Libraries in Dripping Springs, Marble Falls, Johnson City, Bertram host events
PEC has been helping local libraries kick off their summer reading programs by providing programming and prizes at events that encourage young children to dive into a universe of stories and read during the summer.
Bertram presentation
On July 25 at 10:30 a.m., PEC is hosting an electricity-themed presentation designed to help young people’s imaginations take flight. Come to the Bertram Library to see demonstrations of PEC’s unmanned aerial vehicle, get a close-up look at one of our bucket trucks, and take pictures with a PEC worker.
Success at kickoff events
PEC’s unmanned aerial vehicle took flight at events in Dripping Springs, Marble Falls, and Johnson City. Children had the opportunity to get their picture taken with the pilot and in a cutout that put their face on the body of a PEC lineworker. Kids could also join their library’s summer reading program for a chance to win a PEC prize.
At PEC, we care about our youngest members. Supporting local libraries reflects PEC’s commitment to educating Texas Hill Country youth. Stop by your local library at any time and get the kids excited for the universe of stories this summer!
