PEC employees support local toy drives with $4,300 in donations
Donations to help spread holiday cheer to children in need
Pedernales Electric Cooperative (PEC) employees are known for their generosity, especially when it comes to caring for their communities. With so many families impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, local toy drives put out the call for support earlier than ever— and when they did, PEC employees answered.

This year, since in-person volunteering was not possible, PEC provided its employees the opportunity to donate through a one-time, voluntary payroll deduction. PEC employees donated $4,300 to benefit toy drive organizations across the service territory that will help provide holiday cheer to families in need.
“With all of the struggles this year has brought, we wanted to do whatever we could to spread holiday cheer,” said PEC Community Relations Coordinator Caroline Tinsley Porter. “I’m so pleased we found a way to work together and give back, despite our inability to volunteer in person.”
Donations will benefit the following local organizations:
- Travis County Brown Santa
- Highland Lakes Christmas is for Kids
- Hays County Brown Santa
- Tots Need Toys
- Williamson County Brown Santa
- Leander Police Department Blue Santa
- Comal County Operation Green Santa
- Toys for Tots
PEC and its employees will continue to work together to keep their communities strong!
