Introducing PEC’s EmpowerU for students, teachers, and parents

New education program launches with Circuit Builder lesson and more

At PEC, supporting our youngest members through educational programming is one big way we show our commitment to the communities we serve. Now, we’re excited to announce the first installment of EmpowerU — a series of electricity-focused educational programming we are making available for free to students, teachers, and parents.

Resources include an in-depth circuit builder lesson plan complete with videos, worksheets, and a PowerPoint for third through sixth grade students, as well an electric safety activity booklet for second through fifth graders and coloring sheets for younger learners.

 Circuit Builder

Best suited for third through sixth grade.

We’ve put together a complete lesson plan that teaches students the components of electric circuits and how they function. If you are a teacher or parent of an elementary student, visit the EmpowerU page for all the materials you will need for this lesson, and more.

Activity book

Best suited for first through fifth grade.

Your students will have fun learning about electric safety with PEC’s energy adventure activity book, including a scavenger hunt, word search, and more.

Coloring sheets

Best suited for pre-K through second grade, or anyone who likes to color.

Have a little one at home or a child who just likes to color? Download these fun electricity-themed coloring sheets!
