PEC’s COVID-19 Relief Fund brings in $64,000
Funds continue to help PEC members in need
Since launching PEC’s COVID-19 Relief Fund in April, members and employees have generously donated to help fellow members in need pay their electric bills. Contributions so far have reached $64,000 — with $9,600 donated by PEC employees. The funds, distributed through our Member Assistance Program have already helped provide much-needed bill assistance to hundreds of families impacted by COVID-19.
“The generosity of PEC members and employees continues to amaze me,” said CEO Julie C. Parsley. “Community gives us strength and these donations are a shining example. We’re proud to help and couldn’t be more grateful to those who have helped our members in need.”
If you haven’t donated and would like to help, it’s not too late! In June, the PEC Board of Directors extended the deadline for members to benefit from the fund to Nov. 1. This means we can continue to support additional members affected by COVID-19 with your help.
