PEC gives $24K to local education foundations and libraries
Donations benefit Central Texas youth
Caring for our communities and creating a bright future for Central Texas’ youth is important to PEC.
For the third consecutive year, the cooperative donated $24K to assist local education foundations, independent school districts, and public libraries in and around our service territory.
Each organization received a $1,000 donation to fund key initiatives. For example, the Blanco Education Foundation will be using its funds to purchase supplies, including a laptop and tablet charging station. Other funds will go toward grants for teachers.
“It’s essential to give back locally to organizations and programs that support our teachers and students,” PEC Community Relations Coordinator Caroline Tinsley Porter said. “We’re proud to be a community partner, helping to strengthen education and ensure the success of future generations.”
PEC’s education contributions are funded through members’ voluntary contributions to our Power of Change program.
