PEC Board Holds Emergency Meeting to Address Power Supply Transactions

The Pedernales Electric Cooperative (PEC) Board of Directors met telephonically at 4 p.m. on April 12, 2021, to consider one agenda item. This meeting was necessary so that PEC staff could receive authority to close a specific  power supply position. PEC power supply transactions are approved by the board, or authority must be delegated from the board to the CEO or other designee. Power Supply transactions can be time sensitive due to volatility in the pricing.

The PEC Board unanimously approved Resolution – Approval of Additional 2021 Power Supply and Energy Management Transaction Delegation of Authority. Following this action, the board adjourned. The next regular meeting of the PEC Board of Directors will be held Friday, April 23, at Johnson City Headquarters beginning at 9 a.m.
