The heat goes on
Come August, most of us are just about over dealing with the heat. But hot temperatures typically continue through September, and we can still work together to protect the grid and create savings for ourselves and everyone else by conserving energy and shifting use outside of Power Rush Hour® from 2-7 p.m.
Remember, next year’s transmission costs are based on PEC members’ use during peak times from June to September. That means you can save now and later by conserving this summer. Try keeping your thermostat at 78 degrees or higher during peak hours. For more tips, visit pec.coop/power-rush-hour.
