PEC winter storm outage update

What you need to know

We are aware members are experiencing outages throughout our service territory, and some for extended periods. Please be patient. PEC crews and employees have been working around the clock to address these. While some outages are due to a statewide mandate by the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) to manage power load, others are a result of weather conditions and hazardous roads that are making it difficult for our crews to access and make repairs.

Please know, we won’t rest until all members have electric service. Our crews are responding as quickly as possible, braving the elements and the roads to restore your power. If you are without power, it may be extensive. If you have special needs, we recommend you make any necessary arrangements, including staying in another location or acquiring back–up equipment.

As Texans, and as members of our cooperative, please remember we are in this together! We ask for your understanding as we work our hardest to restore your power and resume normal operations as soon as possible. Please do not call 911 unless you have an emergency. For outages, call us directly at 888-883-3379 or via SmartHub.
