PEC celebrates Read Across America Day

PEC is committed to supporting education and opportunity for youth in Central Texas and proud to participate in National Read Across America Day March 2, 2022. The annual event was started by the National Education Association and is the nation’s largest celebration of reading.
In honor of Read Across America Day, PEC staff curated a collection of elementary book favorites for our youngest members to enjoy. PEC offered a virtual solution for Read Across America Day, with a video of PEC employees reading four different books. Teachers and parents can use the video throughout the year.
This year, to further support our students and educators, PEC donated a copy of “Dog Breath: The Horrible Trouble with Hally Tosis” by Dav Pilkey’ to 100 elementary schools across our service territory.
