PEC no longer accepting Christmas trees for recycling

Due to low participation in PEC’s Christmas tree recycling program, we are no longer accepting trees at our offices. Information on free tree recycling in our service area can be found below.

  • The City of Austin offers free contactless drop-off for tree recycling at Zilker Park. Additionally, residents can leave their trees on the curb and the city will pick them up on their regular collection day.
  • Marble Falls residents can drop off brush at the designated disposal site at 1901 Colt Circle from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • The city of Cedar Park invites residents to bring their holiday tree for recycling to the Parks Operation Building at 301 E. Little Elm Trail on January 8 from 9 a.m. to noon.
  • Texas Disposal Systems offers tree recycling at its Creedmoore and Bee Cave locations. Learn more and schedule a pickup.

San Marcos residents can leave trees curbside or drop off trees December 26 to January 31 at the city’s Parks and Recreation Department located at 401 E. Hopkins St. Residents can also leave trees curbside.
