PEC receives 2022 Top Workplace designations

Named regionally and nationally among top places to work, for culture

PEC was recently designated a 2022 Top Workplace among large employers by the San Antonio Express-News. PEC also received national recognition for being a top workplace for cultural excellence among Women-Led Businesses.

“The common thread connecting the PEC Board and staff is our commitment to serve,” said Julie C. Parsley, CEO of PEC. “I’m proud to lead a team of professionals who authentically care for our customers, community, and one another.”

“Top Workplace” winners are selected based on results from an anonymous employee engagement survey. The survey, which is administered by a third-party and verified by an independent research firm, measures key workplace cultural drivers. PEC scored highly for having a shared mission and work that provides employees with a strong sense of purpose.

In 2020, PEC was also named a Top Workplace in both San Antonio and Austin.

As the largest nonprofit electric cooperative in the nation, PEC has nearly 900 employees and serves more than 1 million residents across 8,100 square miles and 24 counties in the Texas Hill Country. Over the last five years, PEC has successfully met the demand for electricity in some of the nation’s fastest growing communities.
