District 2 Director Emily Pataki was elected to the PEC Board in 2014 and again in both 2017 and 2020. Pataki is a seventh-generation Texan, and she and her husband have been PEC members since 2008.

Pataki’s professional background is in business management and development, strategic planning, and corporate consulting. In 2017, Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick appointed her to serve on the Texas Sunset Advisory Commission for the 2018-19 cycle. During that time, the commission reviewed and made recommendations for efficiencies of 32 state entities. Pataki is also a board member and committee chair for Atec Inc., an aerospace firm headquartered in the Houston area. She serves on the board of the Association of Women in Energy (AWE) and is a past president of the Williamson County Republican Women.

Emily Pataki holds a Bachelor of Arts in history from Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, where she lettered in Division I varsity softball. She and her husband, Ted, are raising their five children in Cedar Park and are active in their community.
