Camp Save-a-Watt

Kick off summer vacation with PEC’s Camp Save-a-Watt. Our free, online camp includes weekly activities to engage students in kindergarten through fifth grade. Campers will learn about electricity with Wattson Raccoon, cabin leader and PEC mascot. Camp also features in-person events like our famous solar car derby and the chance to meet a lineworker!

About our camp

Camp Save-a-Watt is PEC’s free, virtual summer camp developed and put on by our experts for students in kindergarten through fifth grade. Through hands-on weekly lessons, students learn about energy conservation, nature, and electrical safety. The program focuses on teaching youth about the importance of saving energy in everyday life, both at home and at school. With the help of parents and teachers, Camp Save-a-Watt can help our youngest members learn important tips to reduce their energy use, and help schools and parents save money. The virtual camp also features in-person events, like our famous solar car derby and the chance to meet a lineworker and Wattson Raccoon!
