We work every day to light up the Hill Country, but that means more than just providing power. Through grants, hands-on volunteering and community food banks, we empower and support local organizations to strengthen our community and make the place we love to live even better.
Twice a year, we award grants to qualifying nonprofit organizations in our service area.
Year-round, our employees actively volunteer in our community.
PEC United Charities
This nonprofit charitable organization allows our employees to donate a portion of their paychecks to local organizations each year. In addition, our board of directors approves an annual match up to $100,000.
Many Hands Program
Does your community need a few helping hands? PEC donates labor, surplus materials and the use of our specialized equipment to eligible organizations.
Hill Country Community Cupboard
A community-sponsored project, this miniature pantry helps address food insecurity in our community.
Because powerful education is key to the future of Central Texas, we support education foundations across our service area.
We partner with building assistance charitable organizations to provide free electricity to construct homes, waive start up fees and help recipients with their first $100 of electric use.
Masks for Members
To support to the communities we serve in 2020, PEC launched Masks for Members — a program that collected these critical items on behalf of hospital partners that serve our members.
