Add your mobile number to your PEC account, and you’ll be able to report outages and receive updates by text. We will only send you messages when it’s important, like during an emergency or when an outage is planned at your location. While you’re updating your contact information, add your email address to receive additional PEC news. You may opt out at any time.
To enroll, call 888-554-4732 or follow these easy steps:
- Log in or sign up for access through your account.
- From the top menu, select ‘My Information’ from the ‘My Profile’ drop-down menu to confirm or update your email address. Select ‘Update My Billing Address & Contact Information’ to confirm or change your number.
- Select an effective date and click ‘Save’ or ‘Update’ when you’ve made changes. That’s it!
To report an outage, simply text the word “outage” to 25022 from the mobile number on your account. Message and data rates may apply.
Want to add multiple mobile numbers to your account? Call us at 888-554-4732. If you have more than one account or meter associated with the same contact number, you will still need to report outages via SmartHub or by calling 888-883-3379.
If you have previously opted out of texts from PEC, text “enroll” to 25022 to re-enroll. If you are unsure you can receive these texts or need help setting up this feature on your phone, please call a Member Relations agent at 888-554-4732 from 8 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
