PEC members will not be disconnected during extreme heat

The safety of our members is one of PEC’s priorities. While all members are responsible for paying their electric bills, PEC will not disconnect service for nonpayment during times of extreme heat or cold. You can access the disconnection during extreme weather policy in the Tariff and Business Rules.

PEC is also proud to help members save on their electric bills by conserving energy. You can access tips that show how small changes add up and do-it-yourself home improvement projects.

If you need help paying your bill, assistance is available for members who qualify. We partner with area agencies that can help us match available funds to the people who need them most.

Our Member Assistance Program provides qualifying PEC members a maximum of $300 per calendar year. If you would like to apply for assistance with your electric bill, click here for a full list of participating agencies in and around our service area.
